Hi Michael
I'm not sure I'd trust any online producer (unless they were an established member of this forum :p ) and if I was in your shoes I think I'd be trying to find some in my local area.
There's nothing like being able to meet the person you're entrusting your music to, and being able to collaborate with them. A face to face meeting will tell you lots about a person, and you'll get a good gut feeling for them.
When I decided to make proper recordings of my songs, I found a producer at a local studio, and also had a song done online. The online song was good, but working with the local producer was so much better, because there was time and scope to really spend time together with the material.
Also, it depends on your expectations in terms of price and quality, as well as genre and things like time constraints, how finished the material is, how clear a picture do you have of how it should sound - or maybe you're looking for someone who can bring a new perspective to your material.
There are some really great producers on this forum - who (if they fit the bill) I would be more than happy to vouch for after 5 years of running this unique community.
Let us know if we can help, or who you decide to go with. And don't forget to share the finished recordings with us
