Re: Ghosts

Exciting news!  I sent Ghosts and Echo Returns to my local radio station and asked if they might play them and I got the following message back;

Hi  Nathan,

Season's Greetings...

Yes, I've listened to them and think I they're really very good; in addition to your vocals, I particularly like the guitar work. If push came to shove and i had to choose one above the other, I would day that Ghosts just edged it.
I've added them to our library/playlist, I'll be featuring them on my own shows and encouraging other presenters to play them as well. I'll pass your details on to Leon Woods and Ashley Bull who present the Bullwood Sessions and hopefully they'll get in touch to do a piece on you. If you'd also like to be considered for a Friday night at The Cross Keys let me know and what your availability may be from mid Feb onwards and what expenses you'd expect.

Cheers, Paul.

I am so pleased to finally be doing something with my music!  It may only be Marlow FM but it's certainly a start!

Re: Ghosts

Hi Nathan, I am really not surprised that a radio station has decided to give you some airtime, Ghosts is a quality track that deserves to be heard by as many people as possible. I love your voice and i think the public will love it too. This is what local radio stations should be doing, showcasing local talent instead of just playing established artists. I am delighted for you and hopefully this will lead to bigger and better things for you. Keep it up and I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before we hear you on national radio as well! When you're a global superstar mate don't forget your friends on the forum lol!
Good luck and keep us posted.
Liam.

Re: Ghosts

Cheers Liam, that's really kind of you.  I'm not sure that it will lead to anything but you never know.  They might get in touch and do and interview with me which would be amazing.  I have  afriend who has been played on BBC 3 counties and he is going to see if he can get me on there which would be great as they have a far wider audience.  Said friend also has his own record label and we are considering releasing Ghosts as a single to see what happens.  I am a total novice when it comes to stuff like this so I am just going with the flow and enjoying the ride.  I just hope that people like it enough to buy it if we do release it!  I really need to get over my hangups about playing live first if I'm going to promote it.  I also probably need to get together some sort of band as I can't sustain that arrangement on my own.  I'll just see what happens.  It means so much that people take the time to listen to my meagre offerings.  I don't care about money or recognition at all, I know it sounds pretentious but the art of songwirting is what matters to me. That said, it's really nice to get recognition from my peers like you guys.
