Rawr! ^.^

Hello.

I'm Carina. I'm a student from the United Kingdom. Yay. Lol. Tongue
Sorry it has taken me a week to get round to doing an introduction.
A few days after joining this forum I ended up getting really ill. I couldn't get to my computer. Lol.

Well a bit about me I guess... Erm...

It's not the first time I have been on a forum, I'm often on gaming forums. Hehe. I moderated a forum last year.
I don't fancy doing it again. Aha. I always try finding forums that I'm interested in.

I'm currently studying A Level ICT & Creative media. I am not sure if I should switch to Law, religious studies and politics next year however.
I can never be 100% sure what I want to do when I'm older.

Music-wise I listen to some recently developed bands like WeCameAsRomans and AskingAlexandria which are metal bands.
Other bands that I like are Silverstein, Senses fail, Breaking Benjamin,  Rise against, I actually saw Rise Against in concert. Amaaaazing! ^.^
I like a bit of goth related bands.... I say goth related because the music isn't actually gothic but the band is representing that style.
I like Evanescence, obviously. We are the fallen, Nemsea I am a fan of however I prefer their previous albums such as Empress and Mana.
Sirenia, I like. I only like What Have You Done (feat. Keith Caputo) by Within Temptation. I'm not a huge fan.
This isn't as weird as it sounds but I like the band The Letter Black/Breaking The Silence. A Christian Rock band. If you herd them compared
with some of my other music you would understand why.

Any song writing I do would be rock, metal, scremo and gothic related.
I prefer doing gothic related songs because I have a "annoyingly high pitched voice" says my friends. Aha.
So it is much easier for me. I can't practice screaming around the house for obvious reasons.

As far as instruments are concerned.
I remember how to play acoustic guitar but I haven't played in years.
I'm not a piano or keyboard player and I don't own one but in middle school I wasn't that bad.
I learnt the first part of Sanctuary - Utada Hikaru on the keyboard by listening to the notes really, I also learnt the guitar tabs a few years ago.
An electric guitar would be better because of the slides. Lol.

So far I have submitted two songs to this forum.

Live forever - http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/song-reviews/songarius-live-forever/
Our story is burning - http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/song-reviews/songarius-our-story-is-burning/
I'm a bit of a newbie. Lol.
I ended up song writing because I use to make up little songs in my head and eventually I wrote them down on paper.
Since the advice I got on my first submitted song I tend to write how I feel and don't think
about if lyrics are going to connect or if the song is going to sound right, I find that as a much better way of working.

So that is a bit about me.

Have a nice day. Tongue

Hello Smiley Welcome. I wouldn't mind hearing some gothicky stuff. Would be a change Smiley

To get a review, give some reviews. Give and take. Simples. If that's too complicated........
