Hey there!
I'm a complete amateur when it comes to mixing/producing, but i have played guitar and sung for some years.
"alt-J" and "Steven Wilson" are my biggest inspirations, and my goal is to one day produce music that some people would actually wish to listen to on the bus.
I would love some tips when it comes to composing/Mixing!

Thanks a massive amount of bunch in advance!

Here's the lyrics:

She couldn't ever last with her broken ankles
She's was just lying there with no help to come soon
Too bad there is no god here to turn the lights on
headlights are pointin' out to an insignificant view
She started dragging herself towards the yellow line

She couldn't not feel
this time it happened for real
she wanted back to the stomach too late for that

She couldn't not feel this time
she couldn't not squeal

So she said: La ladidida LadidiDadida
Yes she said: La ladidida LadidiDadida

Across the the road in a ditch, two empty shoes
she wouldn't do anything but fill her hands with tears
She'd realise in a while that he was there
headlights now pointin' out to a silent savior
She started dragging herself towards bright light

She couldn't not feel
this time it happened for real
she wanted back to the stomach too late for that

She couldn't not feel
she couldn't not squeal

So she said: La ladidida LadidiDadida
Yes she said: La ladidida LadidiDadida

Heh, glad you liked it. I'm actually in the middle of trying to mix the vocals less dreamy, because someone at reddit told me it was too much. Well, at least now i can compare in the end, haha :)
Thanks for listening!

Hi Lenner,

We really like this a lot.  You obviously have high goals for production but this sounded far from amateurish. Liked the lyric imagery (although wasn't sure about the "stomach" line) and though overall the song had a very contemporary vibe. Great job.

I like this a great deal. You have an interesting vocal rhythm in the verses, and the way that it interacts with the chord progression. When looking at the lyrics before listening - the 'ladidida's stood out, but when listening, they really.works as a hook line. If you're aiming to get a Steven Wilson style vibe, I think you've achieved it, reminds me of Porcupine Tree's "David".

If I was to suggest changes, I'd recommend some more instrumental development, giving more development and perhaps a 'build' throughout the song. But, that's just a personal preference, I think the song is fine as it is.
