I love the concept. And more than anything, I love it because "I resemble that remark."
Sometimes, I'll write a song without much meaning just to stay attuned to the idea that on the commercial market, anything controversial is taboo.
Had an interesting experience lately. I wrote such a song, and someone listening found far more meaning than I had intended. To me it was (deliberate) "high sounding gibberish." To the listener, it was very deep. Ya never know how a song is going to be taken.
And how it is taken (i.e. perceived by the audience), is more important than the songwriter's intentions.
You have tackled a very complex subject, and done it very well. But don't be surprised if audiences read something totally different than you intended into it.
I understood and identified with everything you were saying. It really bothers me to listen to the radio for an hour without hearing a song about something important in the overall scheme of things.
On the good side, these things tend to be cyclical, and meaningful songs will be back sooner or later.
Hopefully, songs like yours can "nudge the industry" in that direction. Good luck.
