I'm writing a musical based on my 2011 novel Engineering Paradise. This is a novel set mainly in Belfast in the 1960s and is a love story to the back-drop of the start of the most recent round of 'Troubles' and the switch-over of power from the 'Official' to the 'Provisional' IRA with all the abandonment of ideals and brutalising of the Republican movement that this represented. You can read a little bit more about it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Engineering-Paradise-David-Gardiner/dp/095693790X

What I'm looking for is someone to collaborate with me in turning lyrics into songs. As soon as it's finished I'm hoping to find an amateur or student production company to give it a premiere, and of course there might well be an acting and singing role there also for anyone interested in musical theatre.

As a taster, here is a stand-alone song that I'm hoping to use at the beginning of Act 2:  http://ukauthors.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=34312

I'll be very happy to explain more if you would like to contact me at: sirat@davidgardiner.net

I live in London.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

David,
