Hello,

http://www.groove3.com/str/reaper-training-videos/

I have been googling online tutorial videos for REAPER and it threw these up. I am looking for something to walk me through in very tedious baby steps up to a full multi track recording. All the youtube vids seem to assume atleast a basic grasp of terminology and I get lost.

Can anyone throw their support behind these videos by  Kenny Gioia? Or ideally know of someone who has done an in-depth youtube series on the subject.

You probably already saw this one, but I thought I'd post it anyway just in case it might be helpful.

Cheers mystic, thats actually the video that prompted me to start the thread.

He starts talking about his drivers and in-puts/out-puts and all sorts of things without giving a basic over view and I get lost. Hence why I am looking for something with a really slow build.

Thanks all the same though

Spooky - I am actually considering making my own video tutorials based on the fact that most assume you already have a good grounding

My videos would start on the basis the viewer know "nothing" and walks through everything, being generic enough to be suitable for any DAW as I would focus on the "principles"

I am a little way off starting them but may look to get my first ones recorded over the next few weeks...

Hey Boydie,

Let me know if/when you do start.

I was quite surprised to see that no one has put up a video tutorial along those lines. There are a lot of the specifics of producing/editing/mixing but nothing (that I can find) that guides someone through without assuming a level of knowledge that goes someway beyond that of a novice.
Good luck
