Hey all

A question for those that have licensed a cover song for release, or know about this stuff

I have a cover song on my new album which I am releasing digitally soon

I am pretty sure I have done my research and have this down, but wanted to check...

I distribute via CDBABy.com

On their own website they link to www.easysonglicensing.com (The link from them is http://members.cdbaby.com/license-cover-song.aspx)

I did look into limelight.com, however they are closing down in the very near future.

Any hiccups to consider? Have I forgotten something? The song I need was listed and easy to find on limelight last year. I see no reason it would have been removed...

It won't be expensive to cover me for a few hundred downloads and a few thousand streams....

Interestingly, my decision to go digital only seems wise - apparently, selling CDs in the UK means approaching the MPRS/PRS directly. Sounds like a nightmare!

Thanks in advance for any help guys

I'd think you just fill in a list as in other countries, the pressing plant looks after the rest. As would Amazon, ITunes and others do.

Good luck,
