Hi guys,

Here is my new song. I'd love to hear what you think. It's very raw, this is a rough demo but i'd love to hear feedback on the lyrics and overall song impact. Its a pretty scathing song in a lot of ways so apologies if I offend you in some way (I reckon there's a pretty good chance of offending someone at least!).

In terms of aspirations for the song, i'd love for you to tell me what they should be (and honestly)! I'm a super lazy musician in terms of playing publicly currently as I have a lot of university work, but i'd love to get more involved and try to play more gigs etc.

Here is the link (feel free to check out the rest of my soundcloud :)) https://soundcloud.com/yaargh365-1/a-list-of-annoyances-original-demo

Lyrics:
Oh, I think i've gone blind.
Gone insane, lost my way, lost my mind.
I think i'll lie down with the enemy.

And you, I think you've gone dumb.
Shouting loud, screaming sounds, wave your gun.
Maybe i'm the one who needs some therapy.

And let's burn the earth and spill our vaccines in the sea.
You don't trust science but you'll trust some magazine.
But baby please just cut through all the fucking lies.
No more regrets no compromise.

Oh, I hope I come on too strong.
You're obsessed, narcissistic and wrong
You don't need a gun cos you'll just shoot yourselves.

And you, Papa don't preach.
Let's oppress you and censor your speech.
Two lines lead to a living hell.

And, I just want balance and some rationality.
It's not all death, it's not all one conspiracy.
But baby please just cut through all the fucking lies.
No more regrets no compromise.

Baby please just cut through all the fucking lies.
No more regrets no compromise.

Baby please just cut through all the fucking lies.
No more regrets no compromise.

I like it. I don't know how you envisage the instrumentation of the finished song. I think it works as solo acoustic, as in your demo; but would also lend itself to a full band.

I like the acoustic sound. but if it is a demo I could hear some distance cello or violin in this, but personally not much more
