I have recently completed a novel based loosely on my teenage years in Belfast during the start of the last wave of 'Troubles' (mid 1960s). One of the central characters is a young girl who writes songs and plays the guitar. In my story she writes a number of songs, two of which are reproduced in full. I thought it would be fun at the book launch in London, probably about October or November, if we could have somebody sing the two songs, and then maybe some of her own. I'm not a musician so the songs exist only as words, you would have to come up with your own melodies and arrangements.
