This song appeared a few months back with incomplete lyrics and music.

I've on top of it now with finished(ish) lyrics and music.

The arrangement isn't 100% but not far off.

FYI -
guitars/bass are tracked but not mixed/eq'd etc
all vox are guide only
rough mix only

'Where Do I Belong'

Give me strength, to belong
In a world that favours the strong
Give me life, I can live
Without fear of doing wrong

Hope is the enemy of fear
And fear is what we become
When love appears to disappear
Where do I belong
Where do I belong

I'm alive, but in grey
At the back of your mind
Dim the lights, you can see
But you don't want to find

Hope is the enemy of fear
And fear is what we become
When love appears to disappear

Where do I belong
In a world that won’t stay still
Where do I belong
I’m not asking for a thrill
I'm trying to breathe but it just won't stay in
I'm trying to smile through a stupid grin
Where do I belong
Where do I belong, Ohhh

I was born, long ago
Was it right to let me be?
Seen the good, been the bad
I just want to be free

I’m thinking of things I should have done
Rubbing my eyes so hard
That all I see is a purple sun

Where do I belong
In a world that won’t stay still
Where do I belong
I’m not asking for a thrill
Where do I belong
In a place that's passed me by
Where do I belong
I don't want to run and hide
I'm trying to breathe but it just won't stay in
I'm trying to smile through a stupid grin
Where do I belong
Where do I belong,  ohh

Cheers ears.

Hi Alan, I like a lot of your your songs so was drawn to this one. It is absolutely brilliant in so many ways: the changes in the guitar, the bass holds the whole thing together so tight, your vocals are (as always) excellent. I really like the "ooooh" ending the chorus.
Someone posted a recent thread about writing 'simple songs', they should listen to this. IMHO achieving apparent simplicity is a complex and difficult art requiring lots of time, skill and effort and you've nailed it here.
Time for another listen, well done
