More free music from a giant band and iTunes.
This is a sampler of tunes that will be on a compilation of solo Beatle tunes that is coming out next year.
I'm cool with that.

Tomorrow, in Britain, you can watch Ziggy's final concert at the Hammersmith Odeon at 9:00pm followed by Queen's 1975 Christmas Concert. Both on BBC4.

How is that new Leonard Cohen record?
Hopefully better than that awful album cover!

This is a formerly punk rock, now anthemic soft rock band from New Jersey. Brian Fallon's vocals are astounding when he sings in key, and lyrics are always top-notch. Probably my main lyrical influence, and musical inspiration.

It's the girl from Gossip Girl and the Grinch, although she sounds sick of being reminded in interviews. Fairly standard female-fronted rock and roll band, maybe even pop rock, but she can really sing.

Rise Against. Hard, atmospheric punk rock band from America. Not much more to say, really, other than that they're best listened to with a side-order of Anti-Flag.

This band is so underrated. Like heavier old-school Paramore, crossed with TPR or Halestorm. Best served after a Fit For Rivals starter, and a Tonight Alive finish :)

Band recommendation of the week: Fit For Rivals? False. Renee Phoenix has no rivals.

'She can still hear the Rebel Yell just as loud as it was in 1983' - Thrash Unreal, Against Me!

It's not a great cover. Shame because I liked the cover for old ideas. But the songs and record are as good as last one.
