I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to start writing songs. I had gone online and found a site that gave tips to start writing songs as I used to just sing and put random things together but I wanted to go through the whole process.

I have only completed the first 2 steps in a way.
1. Song titles
2. Questions

I wrote a list of song titles and wasn't able to choose one last night. Here is the list I came up with.
A dream on the edge
Pulling me into darkness
Shadows
A broken heart
Surviving love
Scars of pain
Blue and Gold
Freeing myself
Music in my heart
My camo heart
Camouflage love
Tears in the night

I finally decided whilst having my hair done, that I want to start with Camouflage love as I recently got dumped by a guy that is going into the marines and I love a guy in uniform.

The next step was asking myself questions that I thought were useful to start writing the song. It also stated to get questions from possible listeners, which is where I'm stuck as I dont have an audience yet so I was wondering if any of you out there could help me out with questions. The questions I have so far...

What does the title mean?
How do you feel about that?
What caused it to happen?
What do you think or hope will happen next?
Who hurt you?
Why camouflage?

Please help me out with questions about the song. Or any tips on writing a song, I want it to be a good one if I can so I can perform it as an original song at my local festival next July.
Fighting to keep living
The search for love is always a rough path and takes time, it can jump out at you when you least expect it

Another bunch of questions not stricktly relate to the title:

1) When/Where your story will take place?
2) Do you prefer the first, the second or the third point of view (I did; You did; He/She did something)?
3) Are there other characters involved?

Is there a feeling you have to communicate, with this song? Which is it: hiding, maybe?

Ask yourself "What if"...
Exemple: if your character uses camouflage to hiding himself to himself (maybe fear to live or something elese you have in mind), what if he/she have to "play without a mask"?
What do you think he/she behaves?

Put your character in trouble and see what's happen...

hi vampire babez
welcome..

the titles you wrote down are an obvious reflection of your current feelings..
if put them together you have a good lyric..
see...youve written one already..

A dream on the edge, Pulling me into darkness
the Shadows of A broken heart

Surviving love,  the Scars of pain
Blue and Gold, Freeing myself

Music in my heart,  My cameo heart
Camouflage love, Tears in the night

makes perfect sense to me..
i may not believe this tomorrow...
