Hello everyone!

I'm Rich, a big rock'n'roll/ rockabilly fan from Exeter, UK.

I've had a stab at writing some songs in this genre and thought I'd share some of them here.

It would be great to hear from anyone with similar musical influences.

Hey Rich

I go to visit my mum in Exeter every week! It's a small world, eh? Are you doing any gigs locally? Would be nice to hear you in person. I'm playing in Beer on the 16th if you're mobile?

Anyway, welcome to the forum, and I hope you enjoy it.

Tone :)

Afraid I'm not too mobile as I can't drive.

It would cool to meet up one time when you're down. What are your genres/ instruments?

I play guitar, piano, and I sing. The usual singer/ songwriter combination. I don't really think of myself in terms of genres but I suppose acoustic is a reasonable description. I like the classic singer/songwriters like Paul Simon, Neil Finn, James Taylor, Rufus Wainwright etc...

And you?

Instrument-wise it's just guitar. I can sing classical music in a choir but can't get the knack for pop/rock singing.

Influence-wise I'm strongly 1950's. I'm a big fan of the classics like Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry and also of the rockabilly-revival band Stray Cats. Another influence would be boogie-rock: Status Quo etc.

Classical singing is cool! I love to hear choral music. Do you still sing in a choir? A strange combination, choral music and Status Quo :p

Yeah, I'm in the choir at St. David's Church in Exeter if you know it.

Classical and classic rock, it's all good to me lol!
