Hi guys, sorry it's been such a long time no speaky, I've been very uninspired and busy with other things. I thought I'd share this with you, I sent it to Michael for a possible Soncraeft collab a while back, but we've not yet done anything more with it.

Any feedback/ideas/encouragement  ;) would be much appreciated :)

Cheers

John

Are you late
For where you are meant to be
Is it raining again
Can't open the door

Is it more
Bad news on the telephone
Are you feeling unwell
Are you living your hell

On the news
Another exploding man
For a different idea
Or a blatant revenge

Race to the end
In a race to erase a race
For a passion and love
Or heavens above

It's so small
So very irrelevant
Almost nothing at all
To Look back on it all

Here we are
Flying but unaware
On a limitless course
To no one knows where

When a star explodes
Or a comet should come for us
Sealing our fate
Do you care if you're late

It's so small
So very irrelevant
Almost nothing at all
To Look back on it all

The Pale, Blue, Dot.
Is all, we've, got.

It's so small
So very irrelevant
Almost nothing at all
To Look back on it all

Really enjoyed that - work in progress? - more like finished masterpiece!
Esp liked the lyrics - very profound. Vocals and guitar are top notch.
Ok maybe add a bit of polish on the bridge and some timpani drums at end.
This is really good!

Great minds think alike. I have a song from about a year ago of the same title. I guess a lot of us take inspiration from Carl Sagan, eh?

Hi hT, really nice song. Like the different sections, and hooky chorus. I can magazine a much bigger sound, could be strings/pads/brass to really build the emotion (not that I'm saying it's without emotion as it is the vocal is great). I like the lyrics too, you get the idea but they're still pretty oblique.
Nice one!

yes, this is cool!!! and as Paulski says...it does sound like it is already there, very good performance, super vocals

i hope you find your passion for songwriting back soon.....placing a song out to be heard, and getting responses and feedback can make a songwriter hungry for making music again...

habitat, its really good to have you back.
Enjoyed the lyrics, made me think. Nice picking and liked the the subtle backing vocals.
Thoughts: I felt it could be condensed and I wasn't sure whether the 'very' in the chorus was necessary.
