I know what you're aiming for and you've got a great song for it here.
Very commercial, ultra radio friendly. You'll have no problem getting this signed by a pub. I'm positive.
Couple of gripes:
The drummer lost it in the bridge a little with a silly indie/rock snare riff that pulled me right out of the feel of the Americana trip. A tiny misjudged bit of drumming but it bugged me because I was totally into the song at that point.
The end could have been better. Maybe 20 seconds of time not really required.
That said - great lyric. The best I've had from you.
