Abducted By Aliens Again:

I’ve been abducted by aliens again
Seems I’m fascinating to those little grey men
One more expedition to the stars
Straight on past the moon and take a left at Mars

They asked me if I believe in gods
Full interrogation while they poke and prod
Then some females got intimate with me
Nothing physical just telepathically

(Chorus)
And it’s starting to drive me round the bend
Abducted by aliens again
I’ve lost count this must be nine or ten
Abducted by aliens again

They gave me a tour around the base
Offered dire warnings for the human race
Then brought me back home at dead of night
Bade me a ‘goodbye and don’t forget to write’

I know that you’ll think I must be mad
Watch too much of Star Trek in my tin foil hat
But you have to believe the things I say
They’ve even left a message on my Facebook page

(Chorus)
And it’s starting to drive me round the bend
Abducted by aliens again
I’ve lost count this must be nine or ten
Abducted by aliens again

(Bridge)
They’re only three feet tall
And have four fingers on each hand
Their leader is called Tharg
And he says he’s an Arsenal fan
Another one is Breeta
She’s as crazy as can be
I always try to dodge her
Cos she wants to marry me

(Chorus)
And it’s starting to drive me round the bend
Abducted by aliens again
I’ve lost count this must be nine or ten
Abducted by aliens again

(Outro)
Oh oh here they come.
Leave me alone i'm not in!
No i do not want to get married woman
- or whatever you are.
Go and pick on someone else.
I'm watching Deep Space Nine!

Not bad, Not bad at all.
Unusual choice in subject if you don't mind me saying so..... Never had an idea about writing a song about aliens before LOL  ;D

But yes it's got some nice rhymes in their and it seems to flow well so i can't see it having too many problems going to music.

Well done PeeJay  :)

I like this one. Quirky take on a quirky topic. Some great lines; my favs include the one about the female getting intimate telepathically and about the leader being a Gooner ;) What I like is that there was a risk that you'd turn this into something cheesy with tones of references to Star Wars, but you haven't. You've managed to keep it modern with references to Facebook etc. Loving the outro- poor guy has intergalactic woman troubles and I thought the earthling women were a handful ;)

Very different in a good way.  Unique.  And the whole thing sang easily and well to a tune I was able to just create as I read on the first time through.  Flows VERY well.

The chorus is exceptional.  It sings easily with a very memorable and dramatic cadence.

Reminds me a little of an even quirkier "Space Oddity."

 hi phil

my god you have gone for something different
 to much star trek,

but yeah it seems like you had your tongue in your cheek writing this one
its got a real fun side to it and it does work quite well

I think the chorus could be a bit tidier

and its driving me around the bend
I've been abducted by aliens again
lost count this must be nine or ten
I've been abducted by aliens again

                                                         can't wait to hear this

I really like these! Their  quirky and silly, but they still flow exceptionally well, and the references to the sci-fi movies wasn't lost. I laughed several times while reading, and I would love to hear it with some quirky music, maybe even have some funny "alien" sounds. Anyway, great write!

Hi Peppermint, Sing4me, Verlon, Tony and ETC,

Thanks for reading. Yeah those Arsenal fans get everywhere!

It could do with a bit of adjustment here and there for that extra cosmic effect!

Tharg is okay but that Breeta she's a pain!

Cheers,

Phil.

This was quite a bit of fun to read. Goofy topic, clever lines, a simple and catchy chorus. Funny can be hard to do, and you could have easily gone over the top with the alien subject but you didn't. And I mean, you end by watching easily the best of the Star Trek series' ever made. How can I not like it?

Cheers

As usual, this is a hoot! I have NO idea what music would suit but it will undoubtedly shine with these lyrics. One small suggestion in chorus:

I lost count way back at nine or ten

I'm still chuckling at "don’t forget to write’" :D :D :D :D
good one!

Hi Innominate and Paul,

Glad you liked it. Just a bit of silliness!

I didn't know that Deep Space Nine was Star Trek until i checked. I was trying for some other show. Oh well!

Hi Neil,

You might have to wear a tin foil hat for inspiration.

And how about Tharg and Breeta on backing vocals!
