Hi, I dont normally have any problems importing other peoples WAV and MP3 files but I could do with some help hear. I've got some WAV vocals from a studio I just cant import into my track in Sonar. I can hear them on my PC as an MP3 but everytime I try to import it runs the import function yet nothing happens. I've tried other files and its fine.

The only thing I can think of is that the file format tags are different. The ones I know work are IEEE, 44.1  and 32bit and the ones that dont are from the pro logic studio PCM 44.1 24bit? I have no idea if this is the issue or not but any help gratefully received.
Cheers

Hey NEIL

I will help you get this one sorted one way or another

I suspect the quickest way will be to convert your MP3 files

I have found iTunes really good for this - drag your mp3 into iTunes and then create an MP3 version

Hopefully this will create a new version compatible with Sonar

I am assuming you will still get this option if you are already loading an MP3?

Alternatively, (or if this doesn't work) ping me over one of the mp3 files and I will have a look at what is going on as I still have X2 on my system

If when I suss it out I will either talk you through the steps or convert the files for you and send them back

I will pm you with my email address and I should be able to take a look tonight for you

If you want to set up a dropbox and send me a link I can grab them from there, which may be quicker as I could convert them and put them back there
