Hi everyone,
This is a song out of which I'm trying to make a little home made video clip . .
I think the music is ok like that but you know, I've heard it so much that it is difficult to judge.

It's important, because I would like to master it (first experience just to see how it works and how it sounds) and try to make it as perfect as I can.
Any comment would be much appreciated and  very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Just Trust the Tales

These words of mine
Are leading you on
I tell you of my travels
At dawn

Imagination
Can lead you where
You shouldn't take your luggage
But air

Just trust the tales
You are hearing
Made by my mind for your thoughts
I'm making up
And you're believing
It's about walking on the moon

Like little Thumb
When he had boots
You escape from your ogre
And find our roots

Weightlessness is a treasure
For the woman who
Is taken by the pleasure
Of you

Just trust the tales
You are hearing
Made by my mind for your thoughts
I'm making up
And you're believing
It's about walking on the moon

Imagination
Can lead you where
You shouldn't take your luggage
But air

Real quality stuff here. Looking forward to the completed video, which so far, is totally intriguing. My only complaint is the shortness of the 'at dawn' 'but air' and 'of you' lines: artistically, they may suit and fit well into the meaning of the lyric, but I don't think they serve the melody like they could. Superb atmosphere though, and production that we should all aspire to.

Andy from Neverwas.

What a simply perfect and gorgeous piano part! And impeccable bass! A very intimate and atmospheric song as already said by the other members. I thought the verse was the strongest part of the song, but I love the contrast of the chorus. Lovely, sensitive arrangement and production, you feel like you could hear a pin drop even with the accordion still playing.

Great things await you, I think!

Thanks TnMC, Dutchbeat and Tone,
Really glad for your comments.
Actually, I produced it and arranged it, but I really think that the most important credit should go to the sound engineer. He did such a marvellous job and the sound takes were so brilliant that it was easy to make production decisions. He's also the drummer and I'm always amazed by his talent when I have the opportunity to work with him.
I could honestly say that he has been my mentor and music teacher.
The double bass player is a professional who did a great job.
Thanks Tone for what you said about the piano part. That was my first piano take ever and it certainly didn't come easy to me.
I remember that I spent two entire days playing that part over and over again.
Maybe I had to go through hundreds of bad takes until I finally was able to play something nice in one take. I was so relieved and I appreciate your comments about it all the more for it.

Thanks  Massa,
The singer is swedish but it's not me.

Hi :)

To me this is just perfect. The atmosphere made me feel like I was lying on thick warm cushions drinking hot chocolate haha.
Nothing I could say that would make it any better... Loved it! :)

Thanks Schavuuitje and Liam,
Actually I think it is finished. (Well, your comments make me think it is ;) I would like to sound master it (I'm not sure you can say it like that in English) to see if it makes a difference. I heard so many contradictive things about the mastering that I would like to try. Have you talked about this in a thread?

Just like to add my voice to the praise for this song, absolutely brilliant. Wonderful Piano arrangement, Bass is top notch and I've always had a soft spot for an intimate female vocal. The lyrics are very interesting also, the refrain of 'you shouldn't take your luggage but..air' is a really strong hook, apologies but I can't think of one note of criticism!

Thanks Andy,
Glad you appreciate the lyrics. I wrote most of them and I’m not really a «fairy tale« kind of guy. So I had my doubts. But well, the singer is definitely a fairy tale girl and that’s why she sings it so well.
