Hello!

Recently I got inspired by song from Latvia and would like to translate it into English.
What am I eligible to if I do it from copyright point of view?
Do I come in as a co-writer of the English version of song and get percentage from writing copyright?
Or I can only ask for a fixed fee for translating the song into English.

Help anyone?

Bernd

You would become a co-writer.

But first you need the consent of the original copyright holders.

Yes that's what I thought - the original writers would have to agree to share the songwriting splits.
