G'Day from Australia - new to forum

Hi all! I have been looking around for a song writing forum to join and this looked the goods. I am from Australia and work in mining. I have always liked song writing but never thought i could knock anything decent together, recently i have been getting back into it and have abit more confidence now, have ordered a heap of amplitube gear so i can record when at the mine site as well as home (have a guitar at each location !). I went to an emerging song writers forum earlier this year in Melbournbe which was pretty enjoyable, once again it gave me a bit more confidence.

I am a Metallica fan, so i tend to write something along those lines, but i dont just do that style as i like to challenge myself, so have a few different songs on the go which are no where near the heavy metal end of the business, and i enjoy doing that.

Cheers STC - haha wouldnt really regard myself as a metal head!! well maybe a little.... i really like James Hetfields lyrics and the song constructions from all there albums i think are pretty cool. IMO

Thanks all for making me feel most welcome - i wont be piping up about cricket at the moment as we are in the "rebuilding phase" which is code for being sh*t!

I have been listening to some of the new songs - so will give some feedback this week.

Pretty diverse range of people on here which makes it the more valuable to everyone i feel.
