Good lyrics with some really nice imagery.
I had some questions about how to sing it. I like the debate about the use of 'and'. I often feel when lyrics are written such linked words are often viewed as superfluous to the meaning and can detract. On the other hand in everyday speaking people use such words all the time and they are just that. And sometimes in songs it works to help them scan even if on paper its not needed.
So when I first read the last bit of chorus:
What have I to give but my row-boat
Without sail
Without oar
It felt it was nearly too blunt but upon reflection its not, you'd just have to make the music and singing fit.
