Hi Nick, big thanks for posting this.  I managed to find it on SC and it sounds like a pretty faithful recording of a Les Paul to me, bottom end too, especially on a couple of the middle groups.
I can imagine my downtuned draco would get even more power on that irig.  It's getting harder to justify not buying it :-)

No worries mate. The iRIG HD is a step up from the original. The input gain control helps the sound a huge amount.

Glad the recording was helpful, and a bit of GAS is not always a bad thing

Done it - well, Santa has done it (after all I said about him in my songs too!).  Arrival of iPad mini with irig HD eagerly anticipated.  This will do all I need for most of my composing (often away from home) and I'm tending to look to a valve amp through the sm57 when I need to get more quality sound back at home :-)

Hmm, getting the purchases past the wife, you could write a book on that one.  My bass player has a lovely LP deluxe for sale that he keeps for when I manage to win that debate :-)

Just had a go at this, with irig pre and a se condenser mic. Captures the room quite nicely for a demo. See results on finished songs, blessings and blues.

anyone use the ikeys? see they released a better version with full size keys, may have to get one of those
