Fairly new to this forum, so after posting some comments I thought I'd post one of my songs. Wrote it a few years back. Love to know what people think.

Cheers, Adam

Stand where you will always be

But when she woke it was late, the room had gone cold
The house it was silent and grey
She sat and she waited her future to be told
By one who had nothing to say

Stand where you will
Stand where you will always be

And so she left in the evening hoping no more
That he might return to her side
And she walked through the city and stood by the shore
Waiting for the turn of the tide

The hour never came, she is waiting there still
For a ship that would brave any sea

Stand where you will
Stand where you will
Stand where you will always be

A hundred years past and then a thousand were gone
The harbour had crumbled to dust
She watches the water and as time marches on
Her choice was to do what she must

Stand where you will
Stand where you will
Stand where you will always be

The hour never came, she is waiting there still
For a ship that would brave any sea
Stand where you will
Stand where you will
Stand where you will always be

I got troubles with the link too. I'll check back later :)

The lyrics reminded me alot of a folk story I heard in Borneo which I love http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Kinabalu#Tales

"She sat and she waited her future to be told
By one who had nothing to say"

Really strong line, and it's great its in the first verse. Kind of feels "helpless before hope", if you get what I mean.

Can't wait to here the music. Will post again

ah the song very nice mate, kinda classical folky that guitar sounds sweet and a big vocal there you got, am not into technical terms for vocal ramges but it stands out there! i like the tune very relaxing!
