That has to be the brilliant Bill Nelson, of the brilliant BeBop Deluxe from the brilliant Axe Victim (with the brilliant album cover too).  I got a couple of my favourite chords from two tracks on that album.

I liked the first album, some of the second album but the time Sunburst finish had come out I'd discovered Hendrix.

Meet the band after a gig at Hull University just before the bass player got deported. The Futurama tour I think. A very good night, really friendly.
