yes, that is a nice song (listened to the new version now)

really good song, perhaps some backing vocals on the chorus would lift it up further...

CS, Thanks for feedback, I really enjoyed working on the strings and yes harmonies would be good - as would a singer who could do it justice, and you're right about the clipped singing.
And Dutchbeat thanks and noted re backing vocals.
Kayles, thanks again and likewise.

Very good well written song. I can imaging Elton singing this. One thing I would say is that a singer may have some problems with the phrasing of the lyrics if it's meant be belted out. If it's intended as more low key it would work.

Kerouac, thanks, I was thinking of a 70's guilty pleasure thingy and wrote it on a piano. But cant play it  well enough in my studio to record as I haven't got decent piano with weighted keyboard and foot pedals. I understand what you mean about the lyrics but I'm bit really a singer let alone a belter :( ;D

Tony, thanks for feedback.

This is sounding really nice. I much prefer the keyboard sound on this version to the original. Lovely acoustic guitar playing towards the end and the strings are nicely arranged. Some lovely chord changes in what is a subtle, delicate and wonderfully written piece.
