Here we are peeps, April already, the snow has only just melted and spring is finally in the air. What better way to get into that shorts & t-shirt, sun screen kinda mood than sit indoors, while the rain still pours and bash out a new tune.
Think, cruising along Blackpool seafront in your ford escort cabriolet on a warm June evening, think piña colada's by the swimming pool, think beer gardens and wasps...
Write and record a song for the summer. No rules, just make it summery, that's it!
Ideally we want people to collaborate on this, it's more interesting that way. But if you'd rather work alone, that's cool too. Put your name down here if you're playing, and
if you do want to team up with someone, say what you want to do, ie. produce, write, provide instrumentals, sing etc...
HabiTat and myself are organising this one, and we'll gather your names up and match you as best we can.

Those of you who were here for the Pawprint challenge will be familiar with this format but for those who don't know, here's what we'll be doing with the finished songs. A Bandcamp page will be created to showcase your songs in an online 'Summer Tunes' album.
After the closing date everyone will have the chance to vote for their top 3 favourites via PM to me.
The winning song will be song number ONE on the playlist and will be the first to play out when the album is played. Second will be track two and third will be track three.
The page will be set up in support of Barnsley and District Animal Welfare (BADAW) and people will be able to donate to the charity by text message and download the album or individual songs. All downloads will be free but we'll ask for the donation by text on an honesty box basis. If you don't want your song to be featured on the album, just say and we'll leave it off. We just wanted to do some good with all your hard work and talent
