So yesterday i wrote some lyrics for the first ever time and i was feeling inspired today as well so thought i would try something else.

These are just verses that i have got down. Still need to get a chorus

Remember when we were at school
We learnt pretty much f**k all
All we did was play football
The goal was a painted wall

Remember when the ropey broke
You fell in and came out soaked
You complained I took your turn
You stormed off but soon returned

We went riding in the rain
Crashed through puddles like a train
The neighbours thought we were insane
And you came out soaked again

Remember when we built that damn
The whole park flooded so we ran
Back to our rusty camper van
To concoct another plan

You were only 21
We were all drinking having fun
You tried to fly and you were done
A grieving mother lost her son

Then the police knocked on the door
To show me the blood there on the floor
All that fun we had before
I don’t have so much fun any anymore

I was going to say, it`s best not to post too much to quickly...i sometimes do,,but generally we need to give peeps some time to look around...

anyway..it`s a sort of a chorus free song..more of a story.. reminiscing .....we see quite a few things like this..maybe you`ve based it on your own experiences..i think it`s song worthy..just depends i what style??

Yeah these are just the verses i still need to write the chorus and the last 2 would be the bridge with minor chords finishing on the chorus. Its a fairly upbeat acoustic song (fingerpicked) i have the rhythm for it. but i dont know how to write it on here lol. its like a bouncy rhythm

Liked this. I'd be interested to see how a chorus on this and how that would worked. I think it could work well without a chorus. Anyway good job !
