Lately it feels like, we've been growing apart.
These years have been hard,
and we haven't played smart.
Now when we meet up, its all 'remember when'
short silences filled in
with a plasticine grin.
You know abit of green, may just see us through.
But boy it's not enough
to fix me and you.
I think I know now, what I didn't know then,
i'ts that two opposing hearts
can't be fixed with a pen.
Maybe one day we'll look back, and laugh at these times
but right now I dont feel,
like writing that line.
So i'm just gonna say im sorry, that I didn't try harder
that I didn't write sooner
that I didn't fight for a future.
