Ok, 'Charlie bit my finger' has earned a supposed £250k and counting for Charlie's family, there are countless other stories like this, "Fenton!!" for example..

IF, just if, you could find, or think up something as a video which grabs people, wouldn't that be great?

I'm getting more into the video making thing, it's fun and compliments the music nicely, Tina and Dutchy are regular video makers, surely it's worth trying??

The chances of having a YT hit is probably the same as getting signed up.....ok maybe not..but i believe getting over 10k views for a vid is pretty hard to achieve,,,unless your fortunate..in some way..like the two vids youv`e mentioned.

That is just it HAB - it is very difficult to "intentionally" make a YouTube hit

Anything "set-up" to look natural stands out like a sore thumb and anything "scripted" is likely to be pretty crappy without professional script writers, actors, production etc. - and the big boys are already using YouTube for viral advertising!

Your best bet is to buy loads of video cameras to record everything and hope something happens "by chance"

If you do want something to "go viral" it needs to have the "oh my god that was awesome/funny/must-a-hurt/horrible etc. I will send it to all of my mates and post it in some forums" factor (not a very catchy name but you get the idea!)

I have actually got one - but I shouldn't really post it on YouTube!

Someone at work was in the office on their own and the chair they were sitting on just collapsed and fell apart

It is a real comedy fall

The guy then gets up and visibly "tells the chair off" by wagging his finger at it

He was very cagey about telling me when this all happened - but after a trawl of the cctv I got it!!!!

I am the boss at work so it would not be appropriate to post it

Think you'll have to 'sit on that one then boydie (couldn't resist)!

My vid which has done well was a surprise hit really.  The others I have posted haven't taken off like that one.  I think for some it just struck a chord and tends to be commented on by people who have suffered loss - my intention was a celebration song for my dad!

You can never tell!
