Hi, I'm new! any other female songwriters on here??

Hi, I'm Lois, just joined up, and I'll be posting some lyrics tonight which I'd really like some advise on pretty please :D

I've written all my life-poems, stories, plays-but just recently, well in the last three weeks in fact, had an urge to write songs, which is great as I love music anyway. I'm trying to learn about song structure, tempo, rythm etc, but help in these areas would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. It's good to hear you're getting into songwriting. Why not have a browse around the board and see what the other members are up to?

Of course we'll have a read of your songs and give our feedback.

Hi Lois,

welcome to the forum. I hope you find the feedback as useful as I have. They are a good honest bunch and will give you good advice. I would advise you to have a look arond the site and have a listen to a few songs, read/post a few reviews and get a general feel for the place. I look forward to seeing you lyrics, all the best.

Hi Lois

Yes I am newbie also and I am a fellow female songwriter and started off writing poems first too, do you play a muscial instrument.  I have no problem with the lyrics, and I am learning to play the guitar slowly, then I may be able to put the chords to my songs.  I haven't put any songs on here a little relunctant due to copyright etc.  So do be careful and have fun.

Hey! I'm also new, just joined today! Just wanted to say I am also a female songwriter :)
Been writing since I was 11 and I really hope I can start sharing my music with people!

I'm a female songwriter too! I've recently joined the site, and am finding the feedback really useful. I haven't found the courage to post one of my songs yet, but I will do...
