Come on then Forumites...Let's hear 'em.

Albums. Albums that you really "shouldn't" like

I'll start of Course

Avril Lavigne - Let Go

Yup. Her of Sk8tr boi Fame

I was introduced to the album by a bassist (a bloody good one) at uni, who shared a fondness for Alanis Morrisette. Granted, the two are in different leagues as far as songwriting and performance are concerned, but there is something endearing about this spoilt american Teen's warblings.

Oh dear, this could be very embarrassing.....

Air Supply, Forever Love......I was in Libya for 9 months, away from family, friends and loved ones, so I only had my keyb and cheesy music to fill the alcohol-free evenings.....I found this CD (a copy, obviously) in a CD shop (where 99% of the CD's were pirated)......

Nick Heyward from 80's band Haircut 100.  He could still give a master class in writing melody to almost anyone!

You are referring to Hanson DB

@jmacdon

I have made no secret on here that I am a massive admirer of the sclub7 songs - I personally think that type of songwriting is really hard and as valid as the more "cork sniffer" type songs

For me "Reach" is still the perfect pop song!

Ha Boydie, that is it, Hanson, i could find the name anymore, and for some reason i think somebody over here has hidden (or trashed) the cd

come on STC, spill it...it cannot be more shamefull than Hanson (or the sound of music, sorry Bin  ;D)

Having a good chuckle on this thread, in a thoroughly non-judgemental way. We all have these guilty pleasures and it helps balance the palette... within reason ;)
