But 6 string on the same space? I think my fingers would just mess up :p

This looks pretty cool!
I've got a normal 4 string ukulele and I'm loving the sound of it but I haven't been playing it much lately, just because there's so much more you can do with a guitar and its 6 strings...
A problem the guitalele (great name btw ;D) seems to solve.

It seems to be tuned ADGCEA, five half-tones higher than a standard guitar tuning, so yeah you can play it like a guitar.

I'd say go for it!

But, let's face it, sooner rather than later you're gonna want to use it for recordings, so make sure you get a decent quality instrument. Yeah it's Yamaha, but at 50£ I'd still want to play it before buying it (Though that might be hard considering it's on your christmas list).
Can you use normal nylon guitar strings on it?
