Writers Block / Delilah

Hey guys, this is a quick song I did recently. Still a work on progress. I was having trouble a few days ago thinking of something to write about so i started writing about how hard it is to write. And then the song just flowed from there. I would welcome any constructive criticism since this is very much a work in progress. I will do a recording of it at some point as well.
Writers Block (Delilah)
C Dm F
Well I have written & I’ve dug
In all them spoke/talked of places
Where people fall in love
C F C Dm F
And forget their airs... (dramatic pause) & graces
Am c f
But Delilah lays her gaze
C Dm F
As I piss the days away
Am Dm F
Living in yesterday (possibly reword this)
C DM F
As I sigh some words and say...
CF Am
Her eyes are yellowed pages
Wilted petals in the storm
Our bed is made of rushes
It aint dirty but its worn
DM F
And still I’ve found no verses
No words of melody
No riddles/voices on wind
And no bottles from the sea
C Dm f
And I’m looking for the muses
I’m looking for my mother’s song
I’m looking for us as children
Before it all went wrong
C F Am
But there stands Delilah
The image of a saint
On her hands are many colours
And it makes it hard to paint
DM F
And still I’ve found no verses
No words of melody
No riddles on wind
And no bottles from the sea ... eaa.
BUILD UP OF F
C F Am (raise volume - gets more dramatic)
You know I have my muses
In whisky and in nicotine
Should be easy thinking of uses
For the remnants of yesterdays dream – dreaaaam HEY
C F AM
But there stands Delilah
Her hair in lock and curls
I have loved her like a woman
But she can act like a little girl
DM F
And still I’ve found no verses
No words of melody
No riddles on wind
And no bottles from the sea
BUILD UP F
C Dm f
And I’m looking for the muses
I’m looking for my mother’s song
I’m looking for us as children
Before it all went wrong
Before it all went wrong
BUILD UP F AND END ON C
