Hi Everyone,

I'd love to hear of your success stories.  Has anyone been published as a writer, won a songwriting competition or been signed to a label.   How  did you feel when someone showed genuine interest in your writing? Perhaps you feel that the achievement of writing a song is the true definition of success.  If so how do you feel when you have completed your song?

Hi Paul

I've had some fairly minor brushes with success - a little studio time here and there, and a tiny amount of label interest, but nothing's ever come of it. My wife and I were runners up in the UK songwriting competition a few years ago.  We entered our song 'The sky will fall' - I should really share that one with you lot sometime....

But success for me is writing a really good song. I've let go of the idea of someone paying me to do it. For now, anyway ;)
