Even though I know
This love can never be
I find myself
Thinking of you yeah

(chorus)
Even though I know
That you know
That I know
That you know
This love can never be

I see your picture in my mind
I see it all the time
Oh yeah

(chorus)
Even though I know
That you know
That I know
That you know
This love can never be

I'm not down or crushed by this oh no
Just to know your in the world
Is more then I could wish oh yeah

(chorus)
Even though I know
That you know
That I know
That you know
This love can never be

I love you more then I can say
Oh Yeah
Just to hear you voice is all I need

(chorus)
Even though I know
That you know
That I know
That you know
This love can never be

You lift me high
When I hear you sing
You have a voice
Would make the angels sing
In praise

(chorus)
Even though I know
That you know
That I know
That you know
This love can never be

I think that this would work really well as a pop song. But it seems like there's too much filler in it, like using "yeah" and stuff. You could try and write some other lines that fit the rhythm there instead.

yeah, the lyrics are good, but its like you're using the oh yeah to get the lyrics finished but either way they are good.

I really like this one. If you take out some of the filler as others have suggested I think it could work quite well. I think the beauty of this lyric is in it's simplicity; a simple structure, simple lyrics and simple repetition and it all comes together perfectly especially in the chorus. The chorus to me is very, very strong and makes the whole song work. I could imagine this being a Pop song that the Likes of Carly Rae and similar singers would perform. Are you thinking of taking it down the Pop route?

I have no real plans for it. It is a thought I had in my mind for many years. Just wanted to see it made real. Thanks for all the great comments :)

I'm glad you shared it on the site. I really like it and there's just something about it that has me thinking it would be a stroke of genius to take it down the Carly Rae 'Call me maybe' or Taylor Swift 'Never ever' route.... IMO the lyrics are tailor made for this type of pop and I reckon it could turn heads as such :)
