They say it's all better now
Look over the hills
And see the blue skies
There's a crowd of people
Watching over
Fooled by the truth
And scoffing at the lies

Pile in to your crowded city
They'll write about your life as a pity
They'll tell you this is just the beginning
Don't get lost in your wishful thinking

They say the changes
Are coming now
We can clean the earth
No games we are playing
Before we are about
to lose control
Stop just listen
To what they are saying

Pack your bags and be on your way
Can't come marching home today
Sign your name and you'll be singing
Some old war song about wishful thinking

Now you wonder of the meaning
Is it just an number
The best that you can be
True purpose is what you believe
Time is closing
For all to see

So many crying and dying
The ones they believed were always lying
So many bodies and minds are sinking
Nobody left will need no wishful thinking

its so hard to follow when the chorus keeps on changing, i understand a song is supposed to have a catchy chorus, this is my own point of view though,

It either doesn't have a chorus, which would make this song difficult to listen to I think because it would be wandering around a lot, or it has a chorus that keeps changing, which again robs the listener of that 'home' that a chorus provides. All up I think this would be difficult to pull off.

I start many of my lyrics with the chorus and as long as that hook is repeated it will be be expected to crop at least a further two times throughout the song.
You really need to have one chorus running through the song.Or maybe no chorus at all, as you don't necessary have to have one.
Hope this is of help
