Hi Shane,

As I said before to you it's so interesting how the same lyrics can produce two totally different songs like stc's blueprint challenge!!!

I love this version, it's moody and laid back and you have a great voice, and thanks for being so tolerant letting me at your lyrics, especially when you already written the music  :-[

You should get a few other forum members mooching along soon!!

Hi Shane,

Your version has a similar vibe to Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. Like it.
It's nice as a stripped down version. I would like to hear some vocal harmonies in there in and around the chorus.

Cheers,

Digger

I like this song a lot...great chord progression and the acoustic guitar tone sounds sweet...I would like to hear the vocals a little louder though.....great work!!

this is great!! Puts me in mind of the late and very very great John Martyn. Your vocal pitch is so good it disappears behind the dominant guitar tones in a couple of places - it needs pulling forward - easy fix twiddle some nobs a smidge. (I hope James N will provide a more technical assist) Only other thing - sorry this is me - it would be really really really spot on if there was a minute off it. But I really love this good work. BTB
not really good at anything - but as long as I am breathing I will keep on trying

Wow, never would have guessed that this is the same song flossie made...
The vocal melody is really beautiful (if a bit quiet), and the purely acoustic style fits this perfectly!

Looking forward to hearing more of these :)

I'm finding this a bit late, and have not yet listened to the other version. I really like this, It's really chilled out. I'm a sucker for the stripped back vocal/guitar thing and this is right up my street.

Excellent stuff :)

I really like this as well

The whole thing feels "bigger" than just a vocal & guitar somehow

I think there is some subtle double tracked vocals that work really nicely

As a song I would like to hear the arrangement develop a little through the track a little - perhaps a drastic variation in the rhythm / attack would also add a bit of spice to shake things up a little

Overall though I really liked this and could happily listen to an album of this kind of stuff - great job

Boydie thanks for taking the time to listen, i hear what your saying and couldn't agree more with you i think it needs more texture to the sound and needs to be more striking.

I haven't heard the original so I'll just concentrate on this.

Crikey! Beautiful song. The whole thing has a lovely, soft, ethereal quality. Great relaxed guitar playing a vocal delivery - it draws you in and makes you listen. It's subtle and quite, quite wonderful.

Congrats on making such a gorgeous recording.
