Haven't written in a while but I sat down and managed to get this down

It's predominantly a love song, however I injected my thoughts and cynicism too

good lyrics with some great lines

like:

but i have some reservations with that chorus line (we can play cops and robbers)

don't know why, i like everything about the lyrics except for that lin

I agree with DB. The song is good save for that line. Of course, it's pretty necessary for the whole metaphor to work but the line itself seems a bit flat. I'm not too keen on 'maybe baby' either...

Personally, I think I get the Cops n' Robbers as the whole 'play chase with the girls thing',  I like it.
