The piano motif is very nice, if very reminiscent of the influences. I didn't take to the reversed piano parts in close proximity. It wasn't comfortable listening, perhaps this is the plan but I kinda wanted that section to be cleaner and more "classical" sounding.
I am with Ramshackles on the production. You like to work things, but everything I have heard from you is
overworked for my liking. Rarely do sounds feel organic, everything is effected. Mixes are so dense as to be near impenetrable. Perhaps I am simply not the target for your style
It makes it trickier for me to focus on the writing underneath. When I do break through, for instance on the main vocal section after the track enters "for real", I enjoy it... if still fishing for it beneath three layers and vocal fuzz!!
I don't ever like to work to hear the underlying music through a production. But again, probably a stylistic issue.
You clearly dedicate huge amounts of blood sweat and passion to your work. This, over everything else, is naturally very commendable. Passion is key!!
