this is great. reminds me of an unplugged Dead Can Dance meets Chris Issak. the main acoustic guitar riff has this inscrutable enigmatic quality that is nicely captivating; the tone has this dark warmth to it which is reinforced with the unique chordal/fingerplucked approach.  Vocals are haunting and comforting simultaneously.  The reverb and/or tape echo applied works well with the entire audioscape. i enjoyed this a lot.

a full drum ensemble would be interesting as well, but it stands on its own with a poetry all to itself.

All of your tracks have something magical about them and this is no exception. I would love to know how you get your vocal to sound so dreamy and otherworldly. The production, instrumentation and playing are all sublime. I know I'm going to like your material before I hear it. This is simply beautiful.

PS. No drums pleeeeeeese!

hey Matt, it's always great to hear a track from you

We both joined around the same time and were both total novices

I have meanderd around the musical landscape but you have ridgely stuck to your plan

This is one of my favourite of yours ;D

Great acoustic, superb electric fretwork , crystal clear dreamy vocals - nice panning near the end

Sounds like you are at the top of your game ;D

Love the sparseness in the verses. I particularly like the sleepy vocal performance (reminds me a little of Something in the Way).

Chorus very "Wicked Game"

One of the guitars (in the right speaker) near the end jumped out a little (was this intentional???).

Overall one of the best i've heard on here so far. Well done :-)

I really love this song and I do like your voice Matt.

I did think of 'Wicked Game' on the opening chords though and had reminders of that song through out, but thats no bad thing as it's a sweet track.

Nice work! :)

Mary is one sexy beast (looking at the picture alongside the song in Soundcloud!)

It's always about the vibes and the swing with you, you never disappoint. As always, the song doesn't grab me, this is clearly as you say a jam that has evolved into a song, and as such lacks the hookline perhaps because of this way of working. But regardless, as a piece of music it is lovely, very soothing and organic :)
