A quick rant here lovely forum members

People
STOP USING SOUNDCLICK!

It is a buggy, bad site. Three times I tried to listen to a track just now, three times it cut out on my before finishing. I always sigh when people link to soundclick. I always try and sometimes it is OK. I don't wanna dismiss people for their hosting site of choice so I always give it a shot, but so often it gives me a headache. It freezes. Crashes. And I cant then jump to the part of the song I reached pre crash.

It is a badly coded and badly designed site. It is not iOS compatible. It crashes on safari, chrome and IE. On windows and Mac. I have tried in on different laptops and systems.

It also seems to be down a lot.

People need to send them a message by cutting their traffic.

Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Youtube...all good alternatives

Rant over.

If I am doing something wrong, feel free to correct me, but I am hardly a technophobe. As I say, on multiple systems this site has managed to grate me!

Much love and non-angry hugs!!  ;D ;D

I think people are attracted to the fact that your song sits in a chart when you put it on soundclick, it is fun to see your song
near the top of the chart it's in... BUT you are right. I stopped using it oo and stick to the other alternatives you mention  :)

I love a good stat too  ;D Being the geek I am!

Reverbnation has stats galore! Track plays, local chart, national, international. Points for visits, plays, videos. And it also has good support from their team (emailed them a few times when they witched to HTML for iOS compatibility bugs, and they actually replied with a non-standard, written-for-me-only email!)

Reverbnation also has a good community I have found. But Soundcloud is a more streamlined site... some like the simplicity  :)
