Vocal effects units

I used to own a Behringer Ultra Voice Pro VX2000 which was brilliant, providing some great compression, reverb, gates, EQ etc to my vocals. Unfortunately it blew up  :o and I cannot find one anywhere, even eBay.

Does anyone recommend a stand alone unit that boost vocals, adds compression, EQ etc?

I record using a small digital 8 track and the vocal sounds through that are terrible, I am looking for something to give me a better vocal sound using a condenser mic.

I found one on eBay for £80 and bought it. I have to say there really is nothing quite like it. Brill condenser, reverbs, phantom power, all the right outputs etc. get one!
