I must admit this song is tongue in cheek
but I am quite proud of it
let me know your thoughts

Sit And Wonder

I've robbed a lot of banks
then held people to ransom
I've always cheated the system
got flat feet and not very handsome

Ì've got ten thousand bodies buried
along with the weed out in the yard
fifteen packs of stolen cigarettes a day
dude I say I'm sorry but I'm just a liar

But when I see the picture
you hanging on the wall
sometimes I sit and I wonder
could I be a better man after all

Helped some problems in the neighbourhood
The lord knows, I'm not a good samaritan
give me some money, I'll help you out too
got no religion, I'm not George Harrison

Sure I can sing but I do it for the money
drink all the free beer then walk off stage
I'm no lover of artistic poetry or creavity
all I really want is just to get paid

But when I see the picture
you hanging on the wall
sometimes I sit and wonder
could I be a better man after all

I think the humour shines through in a very interesting way. Puts me in mind of Nickleback's 'Rockstar' (surprisingly I don't mean that as an insult. Also, I'm ashamed I know enough about a Nickleback song to be able to bring one up like that...)

Doesn't seem to be 100% in-step with your usual style of writing but I like it nonetheless :)
