Infidel Romeo
(1/1)
Soul Punk:
Was actually scared to post this!
by far the most loose I've let myself be
let me know what you think
be in for a shock!
Infidel Romeo
Nobody likes mondays, the weeks staring at you
fridays a different matter, lets all unevolve for bit
six pints for a tenner, you can't miss a bargain
we are all winners until the illness kicks in
then you get hassle for not eating your dinner
Infidel Romeo
your nothing like
the story's we've been told
Infidel Romeo
Is it true
you preach rock and roll
Newspaper and milk, to cure a hangover
denim jacket on my back, can't get silk
but lover, there's always money to be made
that's a fact, guys like my friends and enemies
are much the same, chasing lives they can't have
Myself, I've got a girlfriend living down the road
I see her when such bus company's greed runs out
not that it matters, she doesn't really like me much
sometimes dream of dumping her and trying upgrade
but I look in the mirror, what the fuck am I thinking!
Infidel Romeo
your nothing like
the story's we've been told
Infidel Romeo
Is it true
you preach rock and roll
No we can't solve it through texts, nothing helps like
two fist stubborn lovers sharing a damp cigarette
Juliet throws the butt out the window then smiles
I can't help but wonder what might have been
when she said 'I believe in you Romeo'
Infidel Romeo
your nothing like
the story's we've been told
Infidel Romeo
Is it true
you preach rock and roll
The Corsair:
Oh dear, it seems I missed this one when it was first posted. I need some sleep so I'll pop in with a review tomorrow after uni.
The Corsair:
I think it's wonderful, some of your best soul punk.
You've really captured the 'broken fairytale' atmosphere, you should be really proud of this.
Is it about the reality of the 'glamorous' rock n roll lifestyle?
Soul Punk:
Thanks Corsair
I was really unsure of it, I decided to be brave in my writing
the song is really about how being a so called rock and roll rebel just ain't for everyone
but I was very careful not to damn it, just a different perspective, I call it 'Naive narrative'
Thanks for your interest
