No that's not the title :p

I wrote this in about 10 minutes based off a riff I'd thought up. I then had to wait 2 hours before I could get home and play it. The whole thing is basically worked out now and I'm basically waiting to find a drummer, then it can be played properly...

(W)reckless

Can you take the wheel?
I'm too scared to steer now
No flights
No lights
Slow down
Slow down

It's the road less travelled for a reason
We're driving in car crash weather
The brakes are worn out
The signs were torn down
Oh why can't we help being reckless?

(Instrumental)

I can't crunch the gears
The sound makes me cry and shake
Turn back
We still can
Slow down
Slow down

It's the road less travelled for a reason
We're driving in car crash weather
The rain makes this sound
It's breaking me down
Oh why are we so damn reckless?

(Instrumental)

I can't really breathe
There's no sirens calling
We stopped
But how?
Slowed down
Slowed down

It's the road untravelled for a reason
There's no point living dangerous
We found thin ice
We paid the price
It's our fault for being reckless
We drove out in car crash weather

(Instrumental)

That was the first thing I thought up and was what the rest of the song was built around :O. It might be a bit difficult to change it :P Thanks for the feedback :).

Hmm, not too sure what this is about, because it describes your usual writing (the world being fucked up) and also of loss, (Maybe both?) but its really well written, it's pretty deep and also seems a lot more mature, you're getting better every time man
What if we both just smiled at once?

I'd say that's a fair call to make Sellon. Given that this isn't reflective of a personal experience of mine I find it unsurprising that I've gone with the theme you mentioned. As far as what it's about goes It's, in one sense, literally about a couple who are driving (for whatever reason) somewhere they shouldn't be in awful conditions who have a car crash and die. In another sense it serves as a metaphor, albeit a very vivid one, for general teenage recklessness, in the very self-destructive sense, that springs from the 'I'm invincible' mentality.

Thanks for the reviews :D
