My favourite forgotten group is The Lost Soul Band. Great songwriting, the singer went on to be Lucky Jim

Been a long time since this thread was added to but, I've just listened to a post in the reviews and was transported back to the mid 80's and I remembered this thread.
So, I'd like to add The Sound to the pantheon of forgotten groups.

I was young and full of energy!  ;D :o
I have no authority or standing here, only opinions. :-)

Cool thread, well excavated Mihkay.

My fave forgotten group I think is Sleeper, I really fancied the lead singer  :D

Their album 'The IT girl' was on repeat for a good while in my teen stereo.

This is them on TFI Friday

I think she presents a show on BBC 6 music now?? maybe..

Hi Mihkay,

That's the first time I've heard of that band.  Listening transported me back to the early 80's.  The Sound are quite similar to Tear Drop Explodes and I can hear bass that might be inspired by Burnell, the Stranglers bass player!

I always thought that this band wrote excellent songs in the early 1990's.  this song is taken from the Love and Money album 'Dogs in the traffic'.

And whatever happened to the wonderful Danny Wilson?  Their debut album is a must have for any 1980's quality record collection!
