Taken to the extreme. Written in minutes, recorded in a few takes, vocal only and no production other than a bit of panning.
So short on everything.  ;D Including originality.  ;D

LYRICS because I know some of yer like to read them.  ;)

Running Out Of Time
I got nothing precious here to say or take away if you don’t mind
Couldn’t help you anyway and if I tried you’d only stay behind
So believe me now when I tell you we are running out of time

Fridges full of salad leaves you need to eat right now or throw away
Left alone and unrewarded that’s a path that will lead to decay.
So believe me now when I tell you we are running out of time

Time to get things sorted
Time to get things right

Better get your finger out, I’ll leave you in no doubt this is an end.
Taken any further we’ll be in no position to defend
So believe me now when I tell you we are running out of time

Time to get things sorted
Time to get things right
Time to move things forward
Onward to the light

So believe me now when I tell you we are running out of time

wow your brave mikhay!
you say its low on originality but ive never known a acapella piece posted here before so id give it full marks for being original & adventurous
yes some of the harmonies were a bit shaky but it all works ...the bass vocal was my fave one......well done!

Hahaha. This is great! I was thinking of doing a barber shop quartet type thing and almost
started one this week and then put it off AGAIN.
Top marks! Enjoyed it a lot. And I'm getting a very strong Joe Jackson vibe :)

I loved it, who cares how original it is  ;D

The lyrics were cool too btw :)

Well this was a surprise  ;D

I really like the fast bits they are really hooky!  It works really well as a short song, well done.

Thanks very much everybody.  ;D I was a bit worried that the rather "loose" harmonies might irritate. It a great surprise and pleasure to get such positive feedback.  :)

Especially as necessity was the mother of invention.
Getting ready for a house move so lot's of gear packed away. I was left with recorder, microphone, acoustic guitar, a shaker and a mouth organ. So when I realised that I hated the guitar strumming pattern and there was no way I could play mouth organ well enough I was forced into an alternative. To paraphrase Peter Gabriel said "Creative people are devious..........So tell them what they CAN'T use"  Sage advice it seems.
Blue Moon by the Marcels has always been one of my desert island disks and like Schavuitje I've been meaning to have a go at a Do Wop / Barbershop style track for a while now. So by happy coincidence ::).....

Mentioning Joe Jackson.....even on the same page as my work! WE'RE NOT WORTHY....WE'RE NOT WORTHY... !! ;D ;D ;D
As I was first playing it back I saw the possible connection. "The Longest Time / "Running Out Of Time". Both  Acapella. In my defence, the title was thought out even before I started writing. Short song...time limited...running out of time...? Corny I know, but I had to start somewhere.

At some point in the future, after the comp, I'm going to revisit this one and tidy up those harmonies... maybe add a bit of production..... but either way it's going on the Acoustic Album!  ;)

AND ONE AGAIN >>>THANKS EVERYONE  ;D

Apologies for missing this Mihkay - strange times in the forum - songs move faster than your lips on the first few lines  ;D

This is ace my friend and just perfect as a short song - great work  :)

Hiya Mihkay,

Top marks for tackling an acapella song. I would imagine it was quite a difficult task to write and perform.  You've done a really good job here.  I found the speed of some of the lyrics difficult to follow. However, it's not a big problem.  You could record this song at a different tempo or perhaps bring these parts to the forefront of the mix.  Congratulations are definitely deserved for producing this song.  Well done, I really enjoyed listening!

This is a weird song! The verses are fast but paced, if that makes any sense. I kinda like it?

It's very catchy though
Now the light is dimming, but we're glowing from within. We are shiny.
