That is a great song, very moody and very cleverly crafted!
I get strong Crosby, Stills and Nash vibes which is definetely a compliment :D
Having said that, although there are vocals harmonies in the chorus, I wish they were louder, especially the highest harmony voice but that's just my personal taste.
Some of the tracks I've liked best on this board so far!

Thanks so much Carlonely!
As a matter of fact, this song is inspired by Eye in the Sky by the Alan Parsons project.
I really love that 70's sound of dry drums and full chorus harmonies (although the song is from the early eighties).
Anyway, thanks for the kind words!

I have to say that makes sense, too  ;)
The 70ies influence is definetely easy to hear. Actually not only because of the arrangment but also because of the way the song is constructed which is something you don't hear too often nowadays.

Baker Stayed In Bed, I love this song! Reminds me a bit of Making Plans for Nigel...

Hi @Sallieri,

I'm hoping your second best to no one  ;).

A really lovely song and very well produced. It reminds me a little of late 70's/early 80's Camel - a charmingly clean sound and a developed musical pallet that really fills the ears with joy.

A little reminder that forum policy is 1 song per week and one is expected to comment on others songs as part of the community. I have no doubt you intend to - it's just some people aren't always are of the etiquette.  :)

You're clearly very talented and I look forward to hearing more from you.

All the best,

CCB

No worries at all - none of us know, until we do.  :)

The kind words were more than warranted. Great to have you on board.

Hey Carlony, I think you´re right regarding turning up harmonies in the chorus. Great suggestion, opens up the song completely!
So thanks!!!

This is a very pleasant and efficient pop song with all the pieces of the jigsaw in the right place. If heard on the radio, it would sit perfectly alongside commercial releases.

My only constructive criticism would be that at times, the vocal don't sound natural. I'm guessing this is due to a tuning plugin? I think the song would benefit if the vocals were more natural sounding.

Great effort though.

A great song of it's kind. Very memorable vocal lines. I agree with @Nick Ryder about the vocal fx. I'd prefer a more natural sound but then I'm old fashioned. Otherwise a really classy track. I enjoyed it :)

My aim for the vocals were a 70´s style dubbed singing, like they used to do in that age which make me feel really nostalgic.
But maybe they souns too flat. I´ll have another look at my mix.

Thanks very much Chris.
And like I mentioned to Nick, I´ll have another critical look at the vocal mix
