It just seems like
nothing fits, only anger works.
ahhh - but, then, there’s you,
new planets in your eyes
and a way of walking
so you don’t wake the demons still alive
your voice comes alive with a spirit
only fresh dreams hold.

I want you, I want you now,
I want you in the chorus of this song,
I want you in the middle of this long midnight.
I want you out in front, where your back curves to wonder,
where nothing intrudes. I want you before I fall.

I reach for your hand,
I want you to stand with me now
where our senses are liquid flame,
where the darkness around us
is hostage to our embrace
there is a light, there is a light

(Repeat 1&2)

there is a light within you

shine me through,
shine me through.

This is the best song I've heard from you so far. The guitar sounds way better, but you've sacrificed none of your style. An excellent track. :)

You are Bob Dylan and I claim my five pounds.   :)

That style is so unique, so engaging.  I can’t get my head around how you do it.  Would love to see you play live.

Cheers - John.

Lovely natural feel to this one man and full of emotion. Interesting lyrics too and loving the vocal performance. Excellent stuff  :)

ah nice. the simpliity of this
unusual for me, and endearing
reminds me to some extent of lou reed
I could listen to a whole album of such material
great!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.

Great poetry..."...our senses are liquid flame". What an image! And I love this: "where the darkness around us | is hostage to our embrace | there is a light, there is a light". Vivid image of a strong relationship. Nice!

The vocals are out of this world. The whole style is very interesting too! I love how intimate it sounds.

Your music is like sitting on boat on a slow southern river , with fire flies and cat fish biting.
As the modern world slips away for 3 minutes... as ghosts of Robert Johnson appear .
Robert sold his soul to music , not the devil
good job !!

I like this! "I want you in the middle of this long midnight" (great vocal riff). I agree above that it feels very poetic. You have a great vocal tone.
